Who Rules the Internet?

ICANN, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers, is a crucial part of internet governance, currently under the US Department of Commerce. The organization is made up of members from many sectors, including Civil Society. Now under discussion is the US giving up its leading role, subject to certain guarantees.
