Witch Accusations

Speakers from a 2015 panel titled Witchcraft Accusations, Violence and Torture of Women and Children address the global nature of witch accusations today; the rationales and motives behind the charges; the ill treatment meted out to the accused; the rights of the accused that are being violated; and the partially successful ongoing struggles to mitigate the suffering, bring laws to bear, and change the understanding of both accused and accusers.
