WINGS: Women's International News Gathering Service is an all-woman independent radio production company that produces and distributes news and current affairs programs by and about women around the world.
Third and final episode of the series Women,The Oppressed Majority, discusses prehistoric matriarchies and contemporary matrilineal societies where economic basis is satisfying needs; women’s role in socialist revolutions; visions for life without patriarchy from perspectives of a trans woman, a dominatrix, and a Wiccan; and an idea of how to get beyond patriarchy with worldwide women’s activism.

Dr. Heide Goettner-Abendroth is a scholar of ancient matriarchies and a founder of Modern Matriarchal Studies; Matilde Lopez Arpushana is a leader of the Wayuu, a matrilineal indigenous nation in Colombia; Dr. Maria Paez Victor is a Venezuelan sociologist; Marcela Romero is a trans woman from Argentina; Terri-Jean Bedford is a professional dominatrix whose lawsuit changed the prostitution laws in Canada; Tamarra James is high priestess of the Wiccan Church of Canada; Kalpona Akter advocates for women workers’ leadership in Bangladesh; and Selma James, Coordinator of the Global Women’s Strike Organization.
