Women Vs. Extremism

They received training through the help of UN Women and the government of Japan, in partnership with Kenya’s National Cohesion Integration Commission (NCIC). This comes when reports indicate that teenage girls in Kenya are being radicalized even more often than their male counterparts.

Salma Hemed is a programme officer at Haki Africa, a human rights organization based in Mombasa.
