WomenHeart

This episode featured a conversation with Kathy Webster, who has been affiliated with WomenHeart since 2006.  She discussed the impact of Heart Disease on women and harmful effect on women if ACA is repealed.

WomenHeart is the National Coalition for Women with Heart Disease: It is the nation’s only patient-centered organization serving the 42 million women with or at risk of heart disease. Kathy is a former board president, current board member and media spokesperson. She works closely with their CEO, who is located in Washington DC.  She works with national policy makers and provides leadership to governing Board of Directors comprised of experts in medicine, law, finance, and strategic partnerships. Kathy has heart disease herself but is able to lead a busy and productive life in retirement as an advocate for Women with Heart Disease.
