Born In Buffalo,New York when rotary phones and party lines were still in use, Artie McDonnell moved to Overland Park, Kansas in 1965 kicking and screaming the whole way here! I thought my parents had lost there minds and when I encountered my First 100 degree day I KNEW they were Nuts for moving here.
I went to Nallwood Junior High School, then Shawnee Mission South H.S.and I attended Johnson County Community College and the University of Kansas.
I choose to volunteer at KKFI because it’s the last REAL radio station left in our CITY!
We still allow our programmers to program their own shows!!!! No corporate playlists to adhere to, no commercials to clutter our airwaves!
