The old Stray Cat, aka LaDonna Sanders, is a decade and more older than Katnip but the Voodoo Kittens have the same thing in mind–bringing you great music. I am rural America born and bred, and in grade school I got hooked on Chantilly Lace by the Big Bopper and Hounddog by Elvis. How lucky am I that it wasn’t the Carpenters or Michael Bolton.
I have done time on the Board of Directors of KKFI 90.1 FM and Kansas City Blues Society, both worthy organizations with many generous-hearted volunteers. Thanks for stopping by to read this and please stop by the Road Trip for more of the Voodoo Kittens. The Kittens, like all worthy felines, love to be admired and pursued: we adore phone calls in the studio from our adoring fans.

The Voodoo Kittens offer a special breed of afternoon blues entertainment. We start with the old masters and end up with contemporary blues. Along the way, the Kittens keep it real by throwing in musical styles which are offshoots of blues or were heavily influenced by and/or blended with blues to produce new sounds: rockabilly, R&B, early soul, country, jazz, zydeco, Cajun, swamp pop, and anything else that might temporarily sway our feline senses.
