Steve Peters

Our beloved Steve Peters passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, February 20. He was a long-time KKFI 90.1 FM folk music programmer and founding member of the station.

Services will be Saturday, March 2, 1:30 pm at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 1300 N. 18th Street, in Kansas City, Kansas. People are encouraged to stay after the service to visit with Steve’s family and friends, to share food, and for those who want to, sing a song, play a tune or tell a story in celebration of Steve’s life.

The obituary will be published in Sunday’s paper.  Porter Funeral Home in Kansas City, Kansas, is handling the arrangements, and once the obituary is posted, condolences may be expressed at: www.porterfuneralhome.com.  The family suggests memorial contributions to community radio station KKFI, P.O. Box 32250, Kansas City, MO. 64171 or at kkfi.org

— from the KKFI community of programmers, staff members and volunteers extends our sympathies to the Peters family.
